NFPA 70E Workplace Electrical Safety Standards apply to MCC’s and switchgear and also to plugs & receptacles used to connect welders, pumps, and other portable equipment. Because many of the plugs and receptacles currently in service have accessible live parts and can be hazardous if connected or disconnected under load, users must either update their equipment or follow cumbersome safety procedures in order to comply with NFPA 70E.

The separated plug and receptacle provides visual verification of equipment disconnection as required in NFPA 70E.

Sections 430.102 – 430.109 of the National Electric Code require approved disconnecting means to be located in a readily accessible location within sight of the motor and driven equipment. With their UL & CSA ratings for “Motor Circuit Disconnect Switching” and “Branch Circuit Disconnect Switching”, Decontactor devices are an approved ‘line of sight’ disconnect switch for meeting this requirement.

Replacement motors and equipment that are pre-wired with Decontactor devices can be installed with plug & play simplicity, reducing change-out downtime by 50% and allowing critical processes to get back online faster.

  • The need for hard-wiring during downtime is eliminated and mechanics can safely make & break the electrical connections.
  • There is no need to bring electricians to the site; their work to pre-wire replacements can be performed during non-downtime periods.
  • Advance verification of phasing on pre-wired replacement motors avoids problems and delays due to improper rotation.
  • Integral auxiliary contacts can eliminate the need to make & break secondary connections on control circuits.

The 365A is UL and c-UL certified Explosion-proof, and Type 4/4X & IP66 Weatherproof, E365A is ATEX certified,. The 366 is NEMA 4 and CSA certified.

The remote reset coil is 120 volts AC. Contacts are SPDT and rated at 7a max. 460 VAC max. non-inductive; 0.5a max. at 120 VDC; 1a max. at 48 VDC; 2a max. at 24 VDC. The Robertshaw 366A8 is NEMA 4 and CSA certified. Unit is in STOCK.

November 2011 - Carlo Gavazzi is proud to introduce its new compact EM10 and EM 11 Series Energy Meters. The EM10 Series is an innovative single-phase energy meter which monitors 120 or 230VAC. It provides a cost effective solution for most metering applications, allowing an effective energy measurement without the need for an external current transformer. This ultra-compact device can easily be interfaced with a PLC, thanks to its optional pulse output (1 Wh resolution). It is ideal for use in public buildings, offices, condominiums, apartments and in most facilities that require energy cost sharing and the metering of common loads. The main technical features of the EM10 Series include:

Self power supply: One-phase 120 or 230VAC Class B, in compliance with EN50470-1-3
Readout: 5+1 digit
Direct connection up to 32A

The EM11 Series is also a 120 or 230VAC single-phase device, which provides information concerning the status of the power supply, in conjunction with energy measurement. It is the ideal solution for any application requiring a power analyser to display and control the main energy supply. It prevents line overload conditions by switching off selected non-priority loads through its alarm output. It is an irreplaceable instrument to control and limit power before a shutdown of the entire electrical system occurs. It is also suitable for metering most commercial and industrial applications. The main technical features of the EM11 Seriesinclude:

The Carlo Gavazzi PA18C.R... is part of a family of inexpensive general purpose retro-reflective sensors in industrial standard 18 mm cylindrical ABS housing. The sensors are useful in applications where high- accuracy detection as well as small size is required.

Compact housing and high power LED for excellent performance-size ratio. The potentiometer used for adjustment of the sensitivity makes the sensors highly flexible. The output type is NPN or PNP and the output switching function is NO and NC.
